Comprehensive Testing for Urinary and Reproductive Health
Say Goodbye to Uncertainty with Reliable Women’s Health Testing
Are you experiencing symptoms like recurring urinary tract infections (UTIs), persistent pelvic pain, vaginal odor, or bladder discomfort?
These symptoms may indicate underlying issues affecting your urinary or reproductive health that need a precise, microbial-level understanding for proper diagnosis and treatment.
Say hello to clinical clarity and take charge of your urinary and reproductive health with WomensKEY.
Why Choose the MicroGenDX WomensKEY?
- Comprehensive Pathogen Detection: WomensKEY identifies over 60,000 types of bacteria and fungi that can affect the urinary and reproductive systems, with 99.2% accuracy – thanks to Next-Gen DNA Sequencing (NGS). The accuracy of our NGS testing is independently verified by the reputable College of American Pathology.
- Antimicrobial Resistance Testing: Utilizing rapid quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qPCR) testing, WomensKEY detects antimicrobial resistance genes. These crucial insights help tailor treatment options to effectively combat drug-resistant microbes, promoting better health outcomes.
- Quick and Reliable Results: Receive your results in 24 hours after sample receipt, enabling fast and effective decision-making for your health. Our state-of-the-art laboratory ensures the highest standards of accuracy and reliability, giving you the confidence to move forward with your health journey.
- Convenient and User-Friendly Experience: The test kit is delivered directly to your door for a hassle-free experience.Collect your urine and vaginal swab samples in the privacy of your home, and send them back using the prepaid shipping label.
- AI-Enabled Microbe Classification: Powered by AI and the latest research, the Urine Pathogenicity Report enhances your healthcare provider’s understanding by categorizing each microbe as:
- C – Commensal: Neutral, or beneficial microbes that help maintain a healthy balance
- P – Pathogen: Microbes that may be causing harm and contribute to your symptoms
- U – Unknown: Microbes with uncertain roles in your microbiome
These insights provide a comprehensive foundation for your healthcare provider’s diagnostic and treatment decisions. Remember, your healthcare provider will ultimately guide your treatment plan, considering your individual medical history. Moreover, the Urine Pathogenicity Report is most effective for non-immunocompromised patients, as it does not specifically account for compromised immune responses. Leverage MicroGenDX’s AI-enabled insights to take control of your health and unlock the best possible treatment options for lasting relief.

FAQ
What makes WomensKEY different from standard vaginal or urine tests?
Unlike standard tests that often miss hidden infections or provide limited, unhelpful results, WomensKEY combines qPCR and NGS technologies to detect broad range of over 60,000 pathogens by their DNA; with higher accuracy, sensitivity, and precision than conventional testing. Standard testing like lab cultures, are severely limited by the need to grow bacteria/fungi in a petri dish and often fail to identify the true cause behind your infection. Many urinalysis tests look for biomarkers to indicate that an infection is present but fall short of detecting what pathogens are present, limiting it's use for targeted treatment.
WomensKEY delivers results in as little as 24hrs from sample receipt, tests for over 60,000 bacteria and fungi, can detect up to 17 different antimicrobial resistance genes, and provides the relative abundance of every species detected. If add-ons are selected, WomensKEY can also deliver STI test results and Urine biomarkers. In terms of accuracy and capability, standard testing just doesn't compare.
How does WomensKEY differ from VaginalKEY or UroKEY?
WomensKEY provides a comprehensive assessment of a woman’s urinary and reproductive health, by testing both a urine sample and vaginal swab. It detects the microbes behind UTIs, bacterial vaginosis (BV), yeast infections, and other conditions specific to women. Think of it as a combination of both UroKEY and VaginalKEY.
UroKEY is a unisex test that uses a urine sample to assess the health of a person’s urinary tract health and screens for UTIs and related conditions. VaginalKEY checks for pathogens affecting the vaginal microbiome, which can cause problem such as BV or yeast overgrowth.
Do I need to be off antibiotics before taking WomensKEY?
Antibiotics can travel throughout your body and may degrade the DNA of any microbes in your urine or vaginal sample, potentially impacting your results. It’s generally recommended to refrain from taking antibiotics at least 48 hours before collecting your sample.
However, your provider will give the best guidance based on your medical history to ensure you take the best action for your health. Always consult your provider before altering or suspending your antibiotic regimen.
Should I be concerned about all the species on my report?
MicroGenDX lab reports will list any bacteria or fungi our qPCR + NGS test finds in your sample. However, it is important to remember that not all microbes are harmful pathogens and the bacteria that compose your healthy microbiome will also be detected. Consulting your healthcare provider on your unique medical history will provide guidance on which microbes to treat for. To ease your and your provider's concerns, we provide an AI-powered "Pathogen", "Commensal", or "Unknown" status for species detected in urine.
